Thanks to MALFINI for supporting the Chalantika Educational Centre
MALFINI, which celebrated its 25th anniversary at the end of 2024, has been supporting the Chalantika Education Centre in Dhaka, Bangladesh, for several years. This project helps children from the poorest backgrounds to get an education and improve the living conditions of their families.
Chalantika, the education centre run by the humanitarian organisation ADRA, provides children with an education that prepares them for state exams. It also supports their parents with literacy classes and workshops on health, hygiene and human rights. The centre also provides the children with nutritious meals, medical care and meaningful after-school activities.
MALFINI, which also manufactures in Bangladesh, consistently contributes to the running of the centre, supporting 80 children from the slums and providing assistance to 13 others studying at secondary schools. Additionally, the company funds an annual study tour, broadening the children’s perspectives. This is a prime example of corporate social responsibility, where a successful business not only focuses on economic gain but also actively engages in improving the lives of people in disadvantaged communities.
